How AI is helping advance the science of bioacoustics to save endangered species

A new AI model called Perch is being developed to help conservationists analyze bioacoustic data more efficiently for protecting endangered species. The technology enables faster processing of audio recordings to monitor wildlife populations, including Hawaiian honeycreepers and coral reef ecosystems.
