Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning for Sparse-Reward Search in Commutative Algebra

Researchers have developed a hierarchical reinforcement learning framework with graph neural networks to tackle Kalai's algebraic Hirsch conjecture, a decades-old mathematical problem characterized by extreme reward sparsity.
